The United States Senate is developing a plan that will require foreign visitors to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus (COVID-19), Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing a White House official.
The move comes in line with the preventive measures taken with the expected easing of travel restrictions.
The CDC recently reversed its May recommendation and asked that even vaccinated people wear masks in public places to limit the spread of the novel virus and especially the high transmissible Delta variant.
The Biden administration reportedly wants to lift travel restrictions and ensure containing the pandemic at the same time.
