Crude oil inventories in the United States increased by about 2.4 million barrels last week, according to the weekly report of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Oil stockpiles totaled 500.8 million barrels for the week ending March 12, 2021.
Meanwhile, gasoline inventories increased by 0.5 million barrels, while distillate fuel inventories increased by 0.3 million barrels
Refinery inputs averaged 13.4 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, 1.1 million b/d higher than the previous week.
Refineries operated at 76.1% of their operable capacity last week.
