Foreign Holdings of US Treasury Bonds Rose For The Second Month in a Row in January

Data from the Treasury on Monday showed that foreign holdings in US Treasury bonds rose for the second month in a row in January.

Foreign investor holdings reached $ 7.119 trillion in January, up from $ 7.07 trillion in the previous month.

Holdings of Japan, the largest non-US holder of Treasury bonds, rose to $ 1.276 trillion in January from $ 1.251 trillion in December 2020.
