Mnuchin Vows to Work on New Stimulus Deal

The United States Secretary of Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, said on Monday that he will continue to work to reach a deal with Congress for a new economic stimulus package.

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, recently expressed hopes for a new deal to help the economy cope with the complications of COVID-19.

“I will continue to work on this. I’ve told the speaker I’m available anytime to negotiate, no conditions,” Mnuchin reportedly told CNBC.

Recently, US President Donald Trump said that the Democrats do not want to reach an agreement for a new stimulus package in anticipation for the presidential election.
