The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) showed a mostly negative performance on Friday, as weak economic data in the United States weighed on the stock market, amid concerns over a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.1%, while S&P 500 lost less than 0.1%, failing for the third day in a row to break its record for the all-time highest closing level.
The Dow added 1.8% during the week, while S&P 500 increased by 0.6%.
The Nasdaq Composite lost 0.2%, limiting its weekly gains to 0.1%.
