USD Turns to Losses Near Session Lows

The U.S. Dollar (USD) has lost some of its recent gains on Tuesday, which were supported by the rising Treasury yields.

The greenback showed recovery signs from its lowest level in about two and a half years, which it hit earlier this month, on the back of the continuing easing policies by the Federal Reserve and an expected rise in government stimulus as Democrats take control over the government.

The Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the performance of the American currency against a basket of six major international rivals, is down by 0.35% at 90.15.

The index has been moving today in a range between 90.13 and 90.62, after closing Monday at the level of 90.47.
