USD Struggling for Direction

The US Dollar (USD) is fluctuating on Wednesday, awaiting the results of yesterday’s elections.

It seems unlikely that the Democrats will take control of the Senate, which means a new large stimulus package remains uncertain.

The Dollar index (DXY), which measures the performance of the USD against a basket of six international currencies, is down by 0.13% at 93.43.

Earlier today the index went up as high as 94.30, while its lowest point was at 93.09, noting that it closed Tuesday near its lowest level in a week at 93.55.
