New job openings in the United increased during the month of October, as the American economy is recovering from the Coronavirus crisis, data showed on Wednesday.
Job openings grew to 6.65 million by the end of October from 6.49 million in September, according to the US Department of Labor’s monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS).
The job openings rate leveled up to 4.5% from 4.4% in September.
Meanwhile, the layoffs rate increased to 1.2% from 1.0% in September, with layoffs rising by 243,000 to 1.7 million.
