The yield on the benchmark 10-year US Treasury bonds changed slightly at 1.56% today, Wednesday, near levels not seen in a month, amid easing inflation concerns.
Many officials have continued to emphasize that most price increases should be temporary and affirmed their support for keeping monetary policy easing for some time.
However, Clarida added that the Fed may be ready to start discussing gradual deflation in upcoming meetings, in line with the FOMC meeting minutes released earlier in the month, in another indication that policymakers are about to discuss it.
