Unemployment in Brazil Continues to Decline

The unemployment rate in Brazil declined by the end of 2020, reaching 13.9%, official data showed on Friday.

More workers in Brazil are returning to the job market, as the economy recovers from the impact of the Coronavirus impact.

Nevertheless, the average unemployment rate of last year reached the highest level on record, since 2012, at 13.5%.

According to official data, the unemployment rate stood at 14.1% by the end of November.

In September, the rate reached a record 14.6%, compared with 11% by the end of 2019.
