Ukraine Calls Up Reservists

The Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement that on Wednesday, February 23, they began recruiting reservists between the ages of 18 and 60, in implementation of a decree issued by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

She added that the maximum service period is one year.

Zelensky said on Tuesday that he would start the compulsory recruitment of reservists, but he ruled out declaring a general mobilization after Russia announced the transfer of troops to eastern Ukraine.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister called for the imposition of more economic sanctions against Russia, noting that the current time is the right time to impose economic sanctions against the Russian side.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called on its citizens who are in Russia to leave the country, and also issued a circular advising Ukrainians not to travel to Russia.
