Natural gas inventories in the United States decreased by 52 billion cubic feet (bcf) last week, according to the weekly report released on Thursday by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Working natural gas in storage reached 1,793 bcf as of Friday, March 5, the report showed.
Gas stockpiles were 257 bcf less than the comparable period of last year, and 141 bcf below the five-year average of 1,934 bcf.
