Trump Could Intervene to Help Airlines

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is considering to issue an executive order to prevent layoffs at airline companies, Reuters reported.

Congress is yet to pass a new COVID-19 stimulus package.

“If Congress is not going to work, this president is going to get to work and solve some problems. So hopefully, we can help out the airlines and keep some of those employees from being furloughed,” White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, said on Wednesday in an interview with Politico.
