The Russian Ruble fell ahead of Putin’s speech to the Federal Assembly

The Russian ruble declined against the dollar ahead of President Vladimir Putin’s expected speech before the Federal Assembly, which is expected to be of great importance given its date coinciding with the first anniversary of the war in Ukraine, despite the high demand for the Russian currency with the approaching date of tax payments.

The ruble fell against the dollar by about 0.7%, to 75.05 levels, approaching its lowest level against the dollar in 10 months.

The ruble lost 0.5% of its value against the euro, to 80.04 rubles, and 0.2% against the yuan, to 10.89 against the ruble.
