Russia Begins Attack on Kyiv – CNBC

CNBC reported that Russian forces began their assault on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, to seize it on the second day of declaring the invasion.

Russian forces resumed their march towards the capital after the stop announced by Ukrainian President Zelensky this morning. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said horrific Russian missile strikes had hit the capital, a day after US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin told CBS that Kiev “may be under siege” soon.

The government demanded that Ukrainian citizens of Kyiv build a firewall of firebombs and report on Russian troop movements and equipment as Russian forces approached the capital occupation. According to NBC News, the government has asked citizens not to fight to hide in their homes or shelters and not put themselves at risk by leaving.
