Nasdaq Registers New Record High

Wall Street closed higher on Thursday with the Nasdaq closing at a new all-time high, supported by a decline in the US jobless claims last week and anticipating a new stimulus package to be approved by Congress.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 185.5 points, or 0.68%, and settled at 27,387.

S&P 500 increased by 21.4 points, or 0.64%, and closed at 3,349.16.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite made its first-ever close above the 11,000-point mark, after surging by 1% or 110 points and closing at 11,108.07 points.
