Job openings in the US marginally declined in November. The US Dollar Index stages a rebound in the American session and was last at 104.35, where it was still down 0.3% on the day.
The data published by the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, on Wednesday, indicated that the number of job openings on the last business day of November was 10.45 million, compared to 10.51 million in October and the market expectation of 10 million.
“Over the month, the number of hires and total separations changed little at 6.1 million and 5.9 million, respectively,” the BLS further noted in its publication. “Within separations, quits (4.2 million) and layoffs and discharges (1.4 million) changed little.”
