Japanese Prime Minister: to Avoid State of Emergency as Much as Possible

Last week, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that the government in Japan is working in various ways to avoid the trend to declare a state of emergency in the country again, in light of mounting concerns about the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the country during the past days.

Abe added that imposing a state of emergency would negatively affect employment and the daily life of citizens, and stressed that the government is working to avoid such a measure as much as possible.

This comes after cases in Japan rose until this morning to about 46,577 , in addition to that, the death toll from Covid-19 has reached 1,040 people. Reports issued during the past week showed the possibility of some Japanese cities imposing a state of emergency alone, after the increase in their cases.
