Industrial production in Japan decreased by 1.0% m-o-m in December 2020 compared to preliminary estimates that indicated a decrease of 1.6% and after declining by 0.5% in the previous month.
This was the second consecutive decline in Japanese industrial output, as the worsening of the Corona pandemic and slowing vaccination programs weakened industrial production.
On an annual basis, industrial production decreased by 2.6% in December 2020 after a decrease of 3.9% in November 2020.
