The General Court of the European Union has ruled that the European Commission was right about fining Google for its antitrust breach.
The ruling comes after the European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, said in 2017 that Google favored its comparison shopping services and fined the company 2.42 billion euros ($2.8 billion) for breaching antitrust rules.
Google has challenged the allegations using the second-highest court in the European Union.
