German Oil Imports Decline 2% in Seven Months

Germany’s crude oil imports declined by 1.9% on an annual basis during the first seven months of 2020, data showed on Wednesday, as reported by Reuters.

German oil imports amounted to 48.8 million tons between the beginning of January and the end of July 2020, down from 49.7 million tons in the same period last year.

This comes amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

During that period, Russia accounted for 35% of Germany’s oil imports.
