French Jobless Total Drops in June

Data from the French Ministry of Labor showed on Monday that France is experiencing the largest decrease in total unemployment as job seekers find part-time jobs.

The ministry said the number of unemployment in government employment agencies decreased by 204,700 in June, the largest monthly drop ever to 4,220,900.

The total number of unemployed people in France increased to 4,575,500 in April, as new employment stalled due to the government-imposed closure.

The ministry said the improvement in Yoyo was mainly due to the reclassification of some job seekers as partly active in the labor market because they found jobs even if they were not full time.
