The United States Federal Reserve should not pull back its easing policies until the coronavirus pandemic is fully over, according to the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Fed, James Bullard.
“We have to get the pandemic behind us first,”
“There are still risks and things could go in a different direction.”
“We are looking forward to the end of the pandemic, but it has not happened yet.”
“The appropriate stance of any policymaker is to say let’s see if we end the war and if the war really does end we can think about what the next steps are.”
