Eurozone Investor Sentiment Drops to a Six-Month Low

A survey showed on Monday, October 4th, that investor sentiment in the eurozone fell for the third consecutive month in October and reached its lowest level since April amid a lackluster economic outlook.

The Sentix index for the eurozone fell to 16.9 from 19.6 in September. A Reuters survey had indicated a reading of 18.6 in October.

The current conditions index fell to 26.3 from 30.8. The expectations index fell to 8.0 from 9.0, falling for the fifth consecutive month and hitting its lowest level since May 2020.

German consumer sentiment rose against expectations at the end of September, reaching its highest level in a year and a half.
