European stocks declined on Friday, registering their first weekly loss in eight weeks, as the market reacted to concerns about the rising number of new coronavirus cases amid a new wave of the pandemic.
The STOXX Europe 600 index closed lower by 0.2%, expanding its losses to 0.8% for the week.
Today, the healthcare sector led the decline falling by about 1.1%.
The French CAC40 index fell by 0.15%, the German DAX lost 0.27%, while the UK’s FTSE100 closed unchanged.
