European stocks closed lower on Thursday, amid concerns about the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic and the consequent lockdown measures in Europe, which is negatively affecting the outlook for economic recovery in the Eurozone.
The STOXX Europe 600 index finished lower by 0.14% at 422.81 points.
Similarly, the UK’s FTSE100 plunged by 0.57%.
Meanwhile, the French CAC40 and the German DAX settled with marginal gains of 0.09% and 0.08%, respectively.
