European stocks finished lower on Wednesday, after a 30% decline by the debutant Deliveroo stock on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) weighed on the market.
The STOXX Europe 600 index declined by 0.24% at 429.60 points, remaining near it all-time record closing level seen on February 19, 2020, at 433.90 points.
Nonetheless, the index managed to finish March with monthly gains of 6.2%.
On a quarterly basis, the pan-European index added 7.8%, registering its fourth consecutive quarterly increase.
The German DAX, which closed Tuesday above 15,000 points for the very first time ever, finished lower by 0.1%.
Meanwhile, the French CAC40 and the UK’s FTSE100 lost 0.34% and 0.86%, respectively.
