European Stocks Close Lower Amid Uncertainty

European stocks declined on Wednesday, on the back of uncertainty as Trump instructed the cancellation of new stimulus package in the United States, while in Europe the outlook for COVID-19 remains concerning with fears of the second wave.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index closed lower by 0.12% at 365.45 points.

In the UK, the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) FTSE100 index losses came marginal at 0.06%, amid renewed hopes for a trade agreement with the European Union.

The French CAC40 index fell by 0.28%, while the German DAX rose by 0.17%.
