European stocks rose on Tuesday, amid positive expectations about economic recovery, and a positive performance by the auto sector after Germany’s Volkswagen announced positive forecasts for the industry.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index gained 0.87% and closed at 426.75 points.
Meanwhile, the French CAC40 added 0.32%, while the German DAX rose by 0.66%.
The UK’s FTSE100 also finished higher by 0.80%.
