European stocks closed higher on Thursday, as positive economic data provided support for expectations for recovery from the negative impacts of the pandemic.
The STOXX Europe 600 index rose by 3.94 points, or 0.87%, to close at 457.04 points.
The pan-European index rose for three out of the last our sessions, reaching its highest closing level since June 17.
The EURO STOXX 50 index gained 1.14% to finish at 4,122.43 points.
The French CAC40 finished higher by 1.22%, while the German DAX rose by 0.86%, and the UK’s FTSE100 settled higher by 0.51%.
