Ether, the cryptocurrency of the Ethereum platform and the second-largest digital currency in the world, surged by more than 10% over the past 24 hours to trade near $2,623.
Despite today’s rise, Ether remains far from its all-time record high of $4,300, but it has recovered from most of its losses last week, turning to a rise of a little over 5% for the past seven days, according to data by CoinMarketCap.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin rose by about 4% to near restoring the $37,000 level.
Today, most cryptocurrencies are trading higher, supported by an improved investors’ sentiment.
