According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil futures for October were traded at $42.56 a barrel, up 0.14%.
It was previously traded higher at $42.60 a barrel. Crude oil may find support at $41.46 and resistance at $42.96.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the greenback against a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.07% to trade at $92.263.
Meanwhile, on the NYMEX, Brent oil price for November rose 0.18% to trade at $45.72 per barrel, while the spread difference between Brent and Crude Oil contracts stands at $3.16 a barrel.
