Coronavirus Cases Declining in Germany

Germany reported that the number of coronavirus cases reached 7,141 new cases and 214 deaths today, bringing the total number nationwide to 2.04 million and 46,633 respectively, according to data released by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases.

It appears that the number of daily cases has decreased in recent days, and the occupancy rate of Covid-19 patients in intensive care has decreased by 10-15%, according to the Minister of Health.

While the authorities remained concerned about the new strain, which appears to be more contagious, while Finance Minister Olaf Schultz warned that the current lockdown could be extended for two weeks until mid-February.
