China has completed vaccinating more than 70 percent of its 1.4 billion people against COVID-19 with full doses, data released by health authorities on Thursday showed.
A total of 1.01 billion people in China had received full doses of vaccines as of September 15, Mi Feng, a spokesman for the National Health Commission, told a news briefing.
Five of the seven vaccines used in China are taken in two doses, including the two most widely used vaccines produced by Sinovac Biotech and the state-backed company, Sinopharm.
