Baker Hughes has reported that for the current week ending on 24 September, the US rotary rig count increased by nine to 521 rigs.
The Canadian rig count is now up by 91 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
The overall rig count is now up by 260 rigs in a year-on-year comparison. Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by eight to 162 rigs in the week ending on 24 September.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by one to 99, while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by 10 to 421.
