The Australian Dollar (AUD) rose on Friday against its U.S. counterpart, as the U.S. Dollar (USD) continues to fluctuate with markets yet to clearly understand the future path of inflation and the the subsequent changes in interest rates and the broader monetary policy.
The AUD/USD pair rose in earlier trades in the American session to its highest level in about eight days at 0.7617, before giving up some of its gains but remained in the positive territory.
AUD/USD is trading higher for the day by 0.15% at 0.7594.
The pair is on a four-day rising streak and is on its way to maintain a perfect record this week, recouping most of its losses last week.
