Fed’s Kaplan to Support Policy Changes Soon

President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Robert Kaplan said on Friday that he will support reducing the current level of support to the economy soon.

“You don’t want to be preemptive, but I also don’t want to be so reactive that we are late.”

Kaplan believes that as soon as the pandemic is contained there will be a need to reduce the Fed’s current easing policies, due to risks such as a surge in inflation.
