President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Raphael Bostic, said on Tuesday that he expects millions of Americans will be rehired in the next summer as the economy recovers from the negative impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“We could see a burst of activity and performance coming into the summer which could lead us to see even more robust recovery.”
“A million jobs a month could become the standard through the summer.”
The unemployment rate in the United States declined to 6.2% in February from 6.3% in January, according to recent data by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Last month, the American economy added the biggest number of jobs in four months.
