S&P and Nasdaq to Fresh Highs

The benchmarks S&P 500 and the Nasdaq opened at record highs on Monday after the US drug regulator approved the use of blood plasma to treat Covid-19 patients and thanks to a report that the Trump administration may speed up the process of adopting a potential vaccine.

S&P rose 20.93 points, equivalent to 0.62%, to reach 3418.09 points, Nasdaq advanced 137.45 points, or 1.22%, recording 11449.25 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 147.25 points, or 0.53%, to 28077.58 points at the open.
