CME VideoWatch shows that markets are betting 88.6 percent that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates by 25 basis points at its scheduled meeting on May 2-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, the European Central Bank is expected to raise interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point on May 4th with the possibility of a half-point hike. The Bank of England is expected to raise interest rates to 4.5 percent on May 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
