The S&amp;P 500 rose 0.29% and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.56%, weighed down by tech shares reversing earlier gains, such as Apple, Tesla, Nvidia and Microsoft.<br><br>Investors are digesting the direction of prices in light of strong economic data and the significance of anticipated rate hiking and what this should mean for the Fed\u2019s aggressive tightening stance.<br><br>At the same time, bond yields surged, adding to the rout in shares. The yield on the US 10-year Treasury jumped as much as 0.15 percentage point as investors sold bonds. Yields move inversely to prices.<br><br>The moves came after August ISM data Tuesday morning was stronger than expected, coming in at 56.9 versus expectations of 55.5.
