Revenue increased 20% year-over-year in the second quarter, compared to growth of approximately 22% in the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Microsoft’s smart cloud segment, which contains Azure public cloud, GitHub, and server products such as Windows Server, generated $18.33 billion in revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This works out to a growth of 25.5%, slightly more than the consensus of $18.30 billion among analysts surveyed by StreetAccount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revenue from Azure and other cloud services grew by 46%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revenue from the personal computing segment, which includes Windows, advertising, hardware, and games, was $17.47 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
