The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4% to 34,730 and the Nasdaq Composite rose to 14850, down 0.15%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the 11 major S&amp;P 500 sectors, the Energy Index is down 0.5%, weighed down by a 1.7% drop in crude oil prices.
