The metal is up about 3% since the start of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US gold futures rose 0.3% to $ 1820.70.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the other precious metals, palladium rose 0.6% to $2,962.77 an ounce, after hitting an all-time high of $3017.18 earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silver gained 0.6% to $27.47 an ounce, with an increase of more than 6% since the beginning of the week.
