A Space Deal That Could Reshape the Industry<\/strong>


Amazon is in advanced talks to acquire satellite communications group Globalstar, a move designed to supercharge its low Earth orbit internet project, known as Project Kuiper. The acquisition would give Amazon a significant boost in its race against SpaceX’s Starlink, which has already deployed more than 9,500 satellites and serves nine million users globally \u2014 making it the dominant force in commercial satellite internet and a critical backbone for national security operations.
