Both benchmarks had surged more than 2% on Wednesday, reaching their highest levels in seven weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">U.S. Crude Stockpiles Show Surprise Draw<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Data from the <strong>U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)<\/strong> showed crude inventories unexpectedly fell by <strong>607,000 barrels<\/strong> in the week to September 19, compared to market forecasts of a build of about <strong>800,000 barrels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gasoline stocks<\/strong> dropped <strong>1.1 million barrels<\/strong> to 216.6 million.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Distillate inventories<\/strong> \u2014 which include diesel and heating oil \u2014 fell <strong>1.7 million barrels<\/strong> to 123 million.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The draw reflected <strong>stronger refinery runs<\/strong> and slightly firmer demand for fuel products, easing some concerns over weak consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Geopolitical Premium Keeps Oil Supported<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Markets also kept a risk premium on prices amid rising geopolitical tensions. At the <strong>United Nations General Assembly<\/strong>, U.S. President <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> warned European nations against buying Russian oil and suggested Washington was considering new sanctions aimed at restricting Russia\u2019s energy flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although no immediate actions were announced, the hawkish rhetoric increased fears of supply disruptions.
